- Project Summary: Hammontree identified alternatives that not only improved the pavement conditions, drainage, and lighting on the Akron-Canton Airport entrance road and parking areas but also reduced congestion in front of the terminal and simplified ingress and egress.
Hammontree & Associates, Ltd. was selected by the Akron-Canton Airport to study alternatives and complete the detailed design for a major reconstruction of the Entrance / Exit for Loop Road at the airport. Work on the project included a field topographic survey of the entire entrance and exit road, as well as the parking lot areas located inside and surrounding this loop road.
Multiple alternatives were studied and evaluated for revisions to ingress and egress points for all parking, rental car, and taxi queuing areas, and for providing additional commercial lanes in front of the terminal. The project also involves replacing existing waterlines, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers within the work limits and upgrading the lighting and signage. New concrete curbing and asphalt pavement will be provided throughout the project. Hammontree is currently providing Construction Administration on this project.
